.store Domains

A .store Name That Says What You Sell.

People know what they will find before they click. Buy it here and we point it at your website for you.

See if your .store is free
Type a word to see it across the popular endings, or the whole name, like mystartup.store, to ask about just that one. A standard .store here is $54.24 a year.
Tell us what the site is, in a word or a sentence, and we suggest names, then check which ones are still available.

What to Know Before Buying a .store

  • Compare the renewal, not the first year

A .store is often advertised for a few dollars, then renews at about $44 or more a year. That second number is what the name really costs.

  • Names are easier to find

A plain brand name that is long gone on .com is often still free here, without adding a word to make it fit.

  • The website is yours to build

We host your pages, and the checkout comes from whichever payment provider you embed in them. If you want a full shop system with stock and orders, you need that from a shop platform.

Why Merch Stores Like This Ending

.store went on general sale on June 14, 2016, and its best-known users are creators and bands selling merchandise. For them it solves a real problem: the main .com is the fan website, and name.store says exactly where the T-shirts are, with no shop subdomain to remember.

Radix, which also runs .tech, prices it as a premium ending. The price you see advertised is usually a first-year offer, and renewal at the cheapest sellers is about $44 a year. For a real store that is a small cost, but for an idea you are only testing, it adds up.

One thing to be clear about: we host your pages, not a shop system. A few products with buy buttons from your payment provider work well here. A shop with stock counts and order management needs a shop platform, and you can point a .store at that instead.

A Good Fit For

  • Merch and product pages for a creator or band. It tells fans exactly where the products are, which is why names like MrBeast and Maroon 5 run their official shops on one.
  • A dedicated address beside your main website. Keep your main name for who you are, and use name.store as the short address you mention whenever you want people to buy.

Not the Best Fit For

  • A test idea you may drop within a year. The first year is often discounted, but the renewal is much higher, so it is an expensive name to keep while you make up your mind.
  • A shop needing built-in stock and orders, which we do not host. For that you need a shop platform, though you can still buy the name here and point it at one.

What the Price Pays For

A registrar that only sells names will usually charge less for the name. What you get here is everything after it, in the same place as your website.

  • The connecting is done for you

We write the DNS records and join the name to your website ourselves. Nothing to look up and nothing to copy between accounts.

  • The padlock comes with it

The SSL certificate is issued when you pick the website, then renewed for as long as you use the name. It is not an extra.

  • Email on your name

Add hello@ or info@ on the name, and mail sent there lands in the inbox you already read. The forwarding and MX records are set up here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is .store only for online shops?

No, anyone can register one for anything. It simply reads best when there is something to buy, whether that is a real shop or a page of products.

Can I run a shop on Static.app with a .store name?

You can host the pages and add buy buttons or a checkout from your payment provider. We host static websites, so there is no built-in cart, stock or order system.

Should I choose .store or .shop?

Neither has an advantage in search, so choose the one where your name is free and sounds right. Compare both renewal prices, since that is what you pay every year after the first.

Does a .store rank worse than a .com?

Not because of the ending. Google treats newer endings as generic, the same as .com.

Who uses .store domains?

Mostly creators, bands and brands selling their own products. MrBeast, Shakira and Maroon 5 all run official shops on one.

Do I need a paid plan?

The name is its own yearly purchase, and you can use it with a website kept anywhere. Connecting it to a website here needs a paid plan, from Starter. Free websites stay on a free subdomain.

Is the name mine, and can I move it later?

Yes. It is registered in your name, and the code you need to take it elsewhere is a click away in its menu. A name you already own elsewhere can move here the same way.
