DMCA / Copyright

Copyright takedown notice

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a valid DMCA notice must include the elements listed below. We're a US-based provider with a designated contact for copyright notices. Notices missing any element will be returned to you so you can resend a complete one. Repeat infringers lose their accounts under our repeat infringer policy.

  • Identification of the work

The copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (title, registration if any, a representative list if multiple).

  • Identification of the infringing material

The exact URL(s) so we can locate it. "Their whole site" is not enough.

  • Contact information

Your name, address, phone number, and email.

  • Good faith statement

I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

  • Accuracy & authority statement

The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

  • Signature

Physical or electronic signature of the rights holder or authorized agent.

Counter-notice

A counter-notice procedure is available to the site owner under § 512(g). If the owner files a valid counter-notice, the material may be restored in 10–14 business days unless you file a court action.

After you submit

What happens next, and when. Every report moves through these four stages. Most reach a decision within 48 hours; complex cases (contested DMCA, multi-party disputes) may take longer.

  • 1

    Received

Your report lands in our Trust & Safety queue with a unique reference ID. Keep an eye out for our reply.

  • 2

    Triaged

A human reads the report, assigns severity, and routes it. CSAM and active phishing skip the queue.

  • 3

    Investigated

We verify, capture evidence, and (when warranted) contact the account holder for a defense.

  • 4

    Acted on & closed

Outcomes range from "no violation" to warning, content removal, suspension, or permanent termination.
